Prevention Tips
Practical steps and tips on how to prevent flies infesting your property
Fogging And Misting
Fly populations can sometimes breed into the hundreds, making insecticidal mist or fog ideal for minimising large-scale or severe fly infestations. Fogging and misting treatments involve the release of a powerful insecticide smoke or mist into the atmosphere, penetrating the hardest-to-reach places, killing all flying insects such as Common Flying Insect 1 and Common Flying Insect 2 in its path.
Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) Chemical Treatments
Boecker® uses ULV Fogging treatment, a highly effective method of eradicating flies and other flying insects in both domestic and commercial settings. A relatively new technique employing the use of light fumigation, it is the ideal fly management solution for use in internal areas.
Fly Baits
A versatile bait formulation for the control of flies in commercial, industrial and residential settings. Attractants within the bait entice flies to feed on treated surfaces, picking up the lethal dose. Fly bait is best applied at the beginning of warmer seasons before populations reach their peak. Available in granule or dust format, fly bait can also be painted on surfaces when made into a wet consistency.
Fly Bag
An effective, non-chemical fly control method, the Fly Bag attracts flies with odours emitted from its safe, food-based fly attractant contained within. Flies enter through the small hole at the top of the Fly Bag and are contained, unable to escape.
We will conduct a deep and thorough inspection to determine the type of pests that are infesting your premises, the source of the infestation, their breeding sites and the conducive conditions.

How Much Does Fly Control Cost?
Your fly control costs will ultimately reflect the time and effort it will take to manage them in your home or business. The first step in determining the cost of fly control is fully understanding the problem.
To answer all the above questions, Boecker® will need to visit your property to inspect for flies. Following this, the below factors will determine the most suitable fly treatment and its associated costs.
There are eleven main types of flies that can cause concern. The house fly, bluebottle fly, cluster fly, fruit fly, filter fly, horse fly, crane fly, lacewings, autumn fly, white fly and the yellow swarming fly. They are a common pest in both private homes and businesses. Identifying the type of fly infestation plays a key role in the solutions your Boecker® professionals will recommend.
The size of your property and premises will have a direct impact on the type of fly treatment used and the number of follow-up treatments required.
If many flies are present, or if there is a large amount of fly damage within your property, you may require more extensive treatment. Often, the current fly infestation will need to be managed before a permanent control solution is installed.
